Vision Statement

SoulMovement Project is dedicated to facilitating positive change with holistic body/mind/spirit wellness modalities and Social Awareness.   By utilizing these services Individually  and collectively, we plant the seeds of wellness and a intame network within ourselves and with our allies.   When community and collaborators are gathered, change can happen. Our projects include but are not limited to: CranioSacral and Intuitive bodywork, Individual and group Yoga classes , Meditation teachings , Health and Raw Food education and preparation. We also encourage conscious living off the yoga mat , off the table , off the meditation cushion through various partnerships and special event fundraisers dedicated to raising money and awareness around issues close to our hearts.



About
Andrea began her study of the body at an early age as a dancer. This passion extended into college where she studied on the conservatory level. After a injury that lasted over a year with rehabilitation , she returned to dance with a new perspective incorporating structural healing. She continued her dance career for many years after collage dancing for various artists in Rodchester NY , Kingston Jamaica and Washington DC.

Wanting to incorporate her love of movement, her strong discipline, culture and healing on a multidimensional level. Andrea found herself teaching yoga. In 2001 Andrea quickly developed a practice in Washington DC teaching Vinyasa Yoga at Tranquil Space, Flow Yoga Center ,Georgetown Yoga and a Private practice with a focus on Therapeutic and structural alignment.

She has studied Vinyasa Flow , Iyangar Yoga, Anusara and Therapeutic yoga,Kundilini Yoga in the parks of California and Qi Gong. Now based in California, Andrea established Soulmovement Project and along with teaching Yoga and offering bodywork, she utilizes these arts to fund raise for many non profits including Chandersky International and Anahata International.

Andrea has been teaching movement for 14 years, Hatha yoga for 7. Andrea has led retreats in Costa Rica and Peru.   She is a guest teacher at Manzanita Village Dharma Center in Warner Springs ,CA and Flow Yoga Center In Washington, DC. Andrea spends much of her free time learning about Perumaculture and sustainability.

Greatly inspired by her teachers,she fuses her intuition and the teachings of all the amazing work she has learned along the way from so many divine teachers.... too many to name.
